What exactly do you offer? We offer live, online video classes between you and a trained teacher in Latin America.
How does it work? It's easy. From the menu above you can find a teacher and book your classes in just a few simple steps. You can also take a Free Class if you want. For more details, visit our How It Works page.
How does the Free Class work? We want you to try us out risk free, so we offer a one-time, 25 minute Free Class.
Go to Free Class under "Classes" in the menu. Select the teacher you want. Select your time zone. Check the teacher's availability on their calendar, and select the date and time for your class. Fill out the information form. Get ready to start speaking Spanish!
Can I choose any teacher I want for the Free Class? Yes.
Can I take classes from different teachers? Yes. However, once you find a teacher you like, we encourage you to stick with them. If you are an advanced level speaker and take class mainly for conversation, you may want to periodically try different teachers.
What methods and materials will my teacher use? Since every student learns differently, we do not have a specific method of instruction or a specific curriculum. Our teachers have years of experience and lots of material at their disposal. They will work with each student to decide what is the best approach to take.
Why 55 minutes? We want every class to start on time. Giving our teachers a 5 minute window between classes greatly increases their ability to end one class and begin the next one on time.
Can I reschedule or cancel a class? Yes. As long as you cancel at least 24 hours before the beginning of the class, you can reschedule or cancel free of charge.
If you do not reschedule or cancel within 24 hours of the lesson and cannot take the lesson, you will be charged for the class. We do this to help provide stability and compensation for our teachers.
What is your Refund Policy? We want to you to be happy with your experience at You Can Spanish. You have 60 days from the date of your purchase to receive a complete refund on the classes that you have not taken. For example, if you purchased 15 classes, but only took 3 classes, we would refund you for the remaining 12 classes, providing it was within 60 days of your purchase.
When do the classes expire? You have 1 year from the date of purchase to complete your classes.
